Additional Rowing Restrictions

Dear Members Following on from my announcement earlier this week on the reopening of the Club, there are additional restrictions which, in accordance with British Rowing guidance, need to be put in place. These will come into force with immediate effect. The Club is currently in a Tier-2 area. This means that only those members who live in a Tier-1 or Tier-2 area are permitted to attend the Club for on-water rowing. Those people living in a Tier-3 area are not permitted to attend the Club for on-water rowing. Should the Club be moved into a Tier 3-area, only those people who live in a Tier-3 area who can get to the Club without leaving Tier-3 areas will be permitted to attend the Club for on-water rowing. Members living in a Tier-1 or Tier-2 area or those who have to travel through a Tier-1 or Tier-2 area will not be permitted to attend. While the Club is in a Tier-2 area, socially distanced ergos will be permitted for those who are allowed to attend the Club. Should the Club be moved into a Tier-3 area, no socially distanced ergos are likely to be permitted. British Rowing will be issuing additional guidance for what Junior indoor group training may or may not be permitted in Tier-3 areas as this may become subject to different rules. When the position is clearer, we will communicate this to you all. Should the Club be moved into a Tier-1 area, those members living in Tier-1 and Tier-2 areas will be permitted to attend the Club for on-water rowing. However, those members living in a Tier-2 area must continue to abide by the rules applicable to Tier-2 areas while at the Club. Members living in a Tier-3 area will not be permitted to attend the Club. We understand Government will be reviewing the Tiers applicable to each area every fortnight with the first such amendment currently expected to take effect from 16th December. Should the Club be moved into a Tier-1 or Tier-3 area, we will publicise this so everyone knows. Each of you will be responsible for establishing which Tier is applicable for where you live and for following the guidance set out above appropriate to that Tier. Thank you
