CrossFit Strength in Depth 2020

Staines Boat Club are providing 3 boats and volunteers at CrossFit Strength in Depth 2020 Competition at the Excel Centre at the Royal Docks.

As part of the competition the boats will have 1 competitor in the stroke seat and an experienced rower in the bow seat to only keep it straight and level, the competitors will compete in a time trial as event no. 3 of 7 over the weekend. There will be 80 international competitors taking part, with some Olympians such as Andy Triggs Hodge in the bow seats.

The instigator and organiser is Cameron Nicol a GB Rower, who lives down the road from us by Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club. He is hoping the event will increase awareness of rowing within the crossfit community and lead to some of them taking up rowing.
