NATIONAL JUNIOR ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017

We arrived early at the Rowing Lake this morning to be greeted by a drizzle of rain and a fairly strong headwind on the course. Kathryn and Ellie got onto the water in good time for their Time Trial at 8.30am. The time trial was held in rough choppy water at the beginning and calm flat water in the last 500 metres of the course. The girls put in a strong performance, looking composed and strong all the way down the lake. It was a fabulous Row for their first time out at Home Pierrepont National Water Sports Centre and put them in a strong 5th Place overall in the WJ15 2x competition. The first 12 crews go on to race in the Semi-Finals tomorrow morning. So another early start tomorrow with the Finals following at Lunchtime. GOOD LUCK Kathryn & Ellie! They will now have the rest of today off to recover in readiness for their races tomorrow.
